Justin Bieber's pranks have gone viral, but is his "coning" smack of bullying by the rich and spoiled? Or is he positioning himself to become the next Punk'd frontman?
Some celeb haters point to narcissism as being the reason celebs do things that attract global attention -- at times -- at the expense of mere mortals.
When rockers trash their hotel rooms (can you say Steven Tyler and Charlie Sheen), and others run around naked (streaking if you're a '70s cohort), and take part in "planking," they're often excused for misbehaving.
Justin Bieber's recent "coning" pranks seem to cause nothing but mere laughs from anyone tuning in to his YouTube videos, in which he and cronies tagging along laugh at unsuspecting drive-thru attendants.
Even when he drives up to a fast food eatery donning a covert JB disguise, aka dark sunglasses, insisting that his bought-at-another-joint beverage be replaced, it amounts to nothing but side-stitching laughs.
But is Justin Bieber really being a bully? Mere working class worker bees don't pull off senseless pranks like that, right?
Wrong! It happens! But when Asgardians like Bieber pull off such a stunt, instantly the public thinks he's using his money and fame to stir up laughs.
One person in the Biebs' corner says that he is merely pulling off "coning" pranks to rep his peer group. In other words, it's just him pumping up his culture, suggests Dr. Paul Dobransky, a popular psychiatrist.
Hogwash! Perhaps the mischievous behaviour by Justin Bieber is more likely the pop star lining up his options when he sinks into oblivion. Perhaps his camp believes he can become the next Ashton Kutcher for the Punk'd franchise.
What are your thoughts? Is he forgetting where he came from, or keeping his employment options open?
